4 Ways To Nourish + Connect With Our Wombs

Our wombs are like our antennas. Our wombs are constantly letting us know what is going on within us – whether that be physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally (well call these the four spaces). This also means that the things we face on a daily basis affect our wombs, as well, whether that be in a positive or negative manner.

Let’s think about it as successes and opportunities. Our successes are things that we accomplish every day that, in some way, align with our self-care and wellness cultivating a positive effect on the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual resulting in a positive effect on our womb. However, our opportunities acts in the same manner when things are not so aligned. Opportunities are areas where something within the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual may be suffering.

Our opportunities are to be looked at not as negatives, but a space to have, what I like to call, a “womb check-in”. A womb check-in is essentially a check-in with our four spaces. This allows you to intuitively see where and how you may need to nourish yourself. I’ve constructed four ways for you to nourish and connect with your womb.

● Yoni Mapping.

Yoni mapping is really beneficial for things such as addressing and beginning the healing process relating to sexual trauma, sexual enlightenment, and more. It can be done alone or with a trusted partner.

● Meditation.

We talk about meditating a lot but it really will help when connecting with your womb. Meditating on positive thoughts about your womb and mentally sending them to your womb with tender touch while focusing on your breath has amazing benefits for confidence and helps with the practice of LISTENING.

● Womb Yoga.

This type of yoga focuses on your reproductive system. It helps you connect to your womb. This type of yoga focuses on poses that are rooted in femininity and grounding.

● Womb Massage.

This type of massage is sometimes offered by doulas and midwives. It can even be beneficial to massage yourself or have a partner to help you out. Massaging the womb and applying tender touch with essential oils activates the tissue and the friction causes a warm sensation. Warmth has proven to be beneficial for the womb.

Connecting and nourishing the womb is all about finding what works for you. Some of these may interest you and some may not take the time to try out each one and see which one resonates with you and your womb, and feel free to share with me in the comments!
